What We Do

The Lansing Bike Co-op is run by volunteers.  We hope to teach people to fix their own bikes and make bikes more affordable for the good people of Lansing!

Use the tools, build your own bike, learn how to change a tire, and much more all for free!

We will take donated parts and bikes and put them to good use. If you have any unwanted bikes, please drop them off Wednesday or Thursday 7-9pm at B414.

Flash Bike Ride on Sunday

This Sunday, March 27 from 5 to 8 PM, come out and join some of the LBC folks for a flash bike ride. It’s organized by August Warren, who says: “Everyone is invited, even if you’re a skilled rider or simply someone who brought their bike up to get to class. This should be a social and enjoyable ride, just ride at your own pace. In order to keep some order to this, we’ll be keeping to a basic path which should keep everyone together. This will be announced prior to the ride, and shouldn’t be too strenuous.”

More details on Facebook. See you there!

Donation Drive on 10/10/10

On October 10 (10/10/10), the Lansing Bike Co-op is hosting a donation drive! Our goal is to get a bike for six children at the City Rescue Mission, our neighbor on Michigan Avenue. Bring over that bike you don’t use any more, and we’ll get it fixed up and in good hands. All donations are welcome — we need bike locks and parts too.

The drive will be from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, and will feature activities for kids, mini-workshops about bike repair, music, games, and more. Hope to see you there!
